This is a bathroom built into a former bedroom in a period house in Barnsbury, Islington N1. Of particular note is the limestone floor and walls: this limestone is known as "Applestone" and has strong veining. We connected the veins together when fitting the stone to give the appearance of the wide sweep of the pattern on the floor and walls. The bath is freestanding and has freestanding bath fillers, securely fitted to the joists below the floor. We also made the vanity unit as a bespoke item, with a matching Appelstone limestone countertop. In the far corner, in the alcove, there is a shower.
