Our focus of the staircase was the stained timber treads and handrail with all other timber components painted to match the tall skirting boards in the home. The Cut Stinger construction with traditional Scotia under each nosing showcased the solid timber treads, giving the floor an almost floating look as you moved between levels. Again keeping with design 115mm Grand Newel posts were used with detailed post tops and beading as well as 65mm traditional timber handrail. To begin the staircase on each level the handrail was handmade so it could bend into the bottom post to finish level. This handmade detail of the balustrade gave it the elegance and prestige requested by our client. Staircase Designer – Brian D’Heureux
