Oxfordshire Cottage Bathrooms & Laundry

Family bathroom: The brief here was to introduce a bath to the Family Bathroom, which previously only had space for a shower. My design kept the services layout largely the same but by removing the washer and drier from next to the shower, a large enough space was created to add a bath. Another challenge was finding a bath deep enough for my 6’3” client as this is the only room with a ceiling height high enough for him to shower in standing up! My clients’ wish was for minimal grout requiring cleaning but not too modern a feel for the space so we chose wood effect tiles to strike a balance. There were awkward areas left with the addition of the bath plus working a vanity unit around a pillar so bespoke cabinetry was designed and built to add shelving storage where there were dead spaces previously. The overall effect in this room now is one of light, air and space.
