Modern Light and Airy Kitchen in Vale

We were tasked to transform a challenging space into a bright and functional kitchen. With limited room, an obstructive pillar, and a lack of natural light in a basement flat, we faced obstacles head-on to create a winning solution. Our approach was to infuse the kitchen with light, using smart design and well-chosen materials. The result was a basement flat kitchen that now radiates warmth, ensuring cooking and entertaining is an absolute joy. The brief emphasised a need for ample lighting and display areas for family heirlooms. Our solution was to use opaque glass wall units with integrated lighting, elegantly showcasing our client’s possessions while adding a gentle glow to the surroundings. To ensure practicality, we introduced a small breakfast bar that separates the kitchen from the living space and provides an extra work area. Lighting played an important role in this kitchen; we illuminated every nook and cranny and turned even the smallest corner into an inviting spot. Storage was cleverly designed to make the most of the space available. From hidden compartments to thoughtfully planned cabinets, we ensured functionality remained a priority. The kitchen is a mix of Pronorm Y-line handleless base units and Proline handled tall/wall units. Finished in MP matt satin laminate lacquer in Angora Grey, they perfectly complement the Silestone Desert Silver polished worktops. Lastly, we combined Neff and Miele appliances, chosen for their efficiency and performance, to elevate our client’s culinary experience further still.
