Modern Bath

In stark contrast to the traditional rooms we’ve designed, this master bath, in a very contemporary residence, is the epitome of streamlined, modern elegance. Dark stained cabinets with crisp marble countertops provide the base for simple white vessel sinks and gleaming chrome fixtures. Opaque glass inserts in the upper cabinets obscure necessary objects from view. The opaque glass was also used in the lower panes of the windows to ensure privacy while allowing maximum natural light. The adjacent tub area continues the simple, linear aesthetic established in the vanity area of this bath. The unadorned space is intended to provide a subtle space for the display of pieces from the home owner’s modern art collection. This bath was part of a total residence awarded best contemporary design in the 2002 Dallas Home Design "Silver Style Awards."
