Kitchen

Half of this kitchen was outside before I changed the floor plan of this home to include the extra square footage. It was also straight out of the 70's. The goal was to modernize and open the space for entertaining. With a new 19'x19' square space to work with the challenge was in creating the necessary flow and function. Instead of the standard "working triangle" which works for smaller spaces I decided to use a more commercial approach by dividing the space into "zones." There are 3 zones: prep, cook and clean. Each area is equipped with all the necessary storage and appliances to accomplish the task. The zones flow nicely and allow ample room for more than one person in the kitchen. This kitchen is an entertainers dream.
