This panoramic image really captures the loft like feel to the public rooms on the first floor. The client wanted an open floor plan with a loft like feel, but they wanted it using traditional details. We separated spaces with bulkheads and square columns; raised the first floor ceiling to 10' from 8'; and oriented the rooms towards the water view with lots of windows and French doors.
