Belmar II conjures an atmosphere reminiscent of generations of summer afternoons spent at a family coastal cottage. From the worm holes, rasped edges, watermarks, and flyspecking, each surface appears to have a story to tell with the collection. The sturdy casual and time-worn appeal of this collection is conveyed through the unique textural aging of the antiqued linen finish. Custom designed carved wood knobs in two sizes feature a painted linen finish with hand sanding to give the impression of being painted over and over through the years adding a simple but elegant touch. Planked veneer tops add a hint of cottage influence to each piece, while carved fluted posts, bulb feet and full turned octagonal posts translate the profiles into soft casual curves. Thick stepped crown molding, waist molding and carved dentil molding give an unexpected classic feel to the casual coastal style.
