In the master bedroom they had a little attic space, which we opened up, widened it and made it into a little loft. The rafters were exposed, as they were Oak sapling with the bark still in tact. The rafters were joined by a peg, which was also exposed. The heart of pine flooring was saved, re-milled and re-installed.
