The King Cleo bed by Vanguard is classic and sophisticated in this home by the ocean in New England. The custom Kelly Wearstler shams add a pop of purple to the color scheme of charcoal and taupes. The Osborne & Little wallpaper behind the headboard ties in the existing wood paneled ceiling. The drum pendant is by Oly Studio. Photography by: Michael Partenio

This Atlanta area guest bedroom features modern chinoiserie wallpaper (Shantung by F. Schumacher) and a coral geometric print (F. Schumacher) perk up this small guest bedroom. Grosgrain ribbon was put up to simulate crown molding. The bold contrast of the mirror, graphic wallpaper and striped pillows are what really bring this small room together. This room is featured in "The Design Cookbook: Recipes for a Stylish Home" by Kelly Edwards. Photo by AWH Photo and Design

Custom reclaimed log bed with bent blackened steel side tables. Photography by Manolo Langis
Located steps away from the beach, the client engaged us to transform a blank industrial loft space to a warm inviting space that pays respect to its industrial heritage. We use anchored large open space with a sixteen foot conversation island that was constructed out of reclaimed logs and plumbing pipes. The island itself is divided up into areas for eating, drinking, and reading. Bringing this theme into the bedroom, the bed was constructed out of 12x12 reclaimed logs anchored by two bent steel plates for side tables.

Daisy bed frame in our beautiful Blush fabric. The modern design of the Daisy headboard complements the geometric patterns from the wallpaper and scatter cushions, and with the added textures from the throws, the result is a calming, serene bedroom with a mid-century modern feel. Simply Home Decorating
The small master bedroom in this 1950's era home lacked character as well as space so we added some molding detail to the focal wall behind the bed and kept furniture to a minimum, replacing the closet and dressers with built-in cabinetry along one wall. The black painted furniture provides a strong masculine foundation that is softened with a pretty chandelier, delicate hardware and deep coral velvet cushions that can be changed out with the seasons. The homeowners were torn between a design aesthetic of urban industrial and sophisticated transitional. With a clever mix of the two, we were able to juxtapose the two styles, creating a dynamic and interesting space. Silver grasscloth wallpaper was added behind the bed to add more texture and create a feature wall. Instead of table lamps, hanging sconces were installed on the wall above the night tables. A custom bed and storage bench were designed, along with custom accent pillows for the bed and sunroom. Drapery panels in Sunbrella fabric cover the windows and help prevent fading in the bedroom from light streaming in from the sunroom.
