Hardwood Mosaic

This stunning hardwood floor is composed of four different species of hardwood; Brazilian Cherry, American Cherry, Santos Mahogany, and Walnut. The widths of the boards also vary between 5″, 3 1/4″, and 2 1/4″. Each plank was laid on a 45 degree angle, going in two different directions out from the two-step walnut staircase, which acted as the point of symmetry. The floor was finished with a semi-gloss polyurethane and took five days to complete.
