Family Style

A professional range with an oversize griddle needs a large effective hood over it, but one that looks good too. This bonnet hood works every time, with its polished chrome straps and brushed stainless body. It is made 6” wider than the range, so that all burners are effectively vented. The backsplash is a center mosaic of mother of pearl and white Thassos marble in a chevron pattern, with a simple half round border. The field tiles are elongated subway tiles of white Thassos, in 8 x 2 sizes – kept simple so that the mosaic can shine. Photo by Mary Ellen Hendricks
