Crocker Highlands Shaker Kitchen Remodel with Showplace Inset Cabinetry

The classic styling of this kitchen comes from pairing Showplace Wood Products Pendleton Inset Doorstyle Cabinets in White with Black Caesarstone Quartz counter tops. The finishing details of stacked crown molding and door styled end panels add a touch of elegance without going overboard. This project was all about how to create a classically-styled, real working kitchen (see before pics) for a family of 5 and stay on budget. The biggest hurdle was incorporating an under-used mud room that was cut off from the kitchen by a basement to roof brick flue which was prohibitively expensive to remove. Our solution was quite simple and inexpensive: remove a partial, non-weight bearing wall and doorway. In doing this we created room for a more spacious counter top, increased storage and a range location that included landing space and storage! The mud room was transformed into a pantry and mom central organizational room with the handy benefit of being hidden behind a wall. Black countertops, white backsplash, and stainless steel appliances combined together to give this kitchen a sleek and stylish look. Designed by Elyse Hochstadt Photography Emanuelle Namont
