A home should reflect the lifestyle of the inhabitants – an idea bought to life by Tempus Design Studio in the “Coastal Abode” project. This modern seaside home is located near Mackay in North Queensland, boasting a large deck area that takes advantage of the peaceful surroundings The use of Scyon Stria on the façade retains the quintessential look of a seaside home while adding a modern finish to match the open-plan design. This project has a real focus on living and entertaining, complete with an outdoor kitchen for summer parties. Using James Hardie Villaboard lining for wet areas ensures the home is ready for the young family that will eventually inhabit it, finding the perfect balance between aestheticism and practicality. It is this balance that won this “Coastal Abode” the Building Designers Association of Queensland – Mackay Regional Design Awards- New Houses $301K - $500K in 2015. And the Master Builders Queensland award for Individual Home $351,000 to $400,000.
