Bungalow Kitchen

AFTER: The new sink location is where the original exterior door was. This kitchen was a total gut and remodel of a 1920s Arts & Crafts bungalow. The new kitchen is in the original footprint, except for the basement stairs, which were moved back 3', and the entry, which is in a small addition. The cabinets are quartersawn oak, the backsplash is by Sonoma Tilemakers with an inset by Syzygy. The floors are oak inset into a slate border, which makes a beautiful and easy transition from the new to the existing oak floor in the dining room and provides a practical material in the new entry.
