What do you like best about your speed cook / microwave oven ?

I would absolutely do a workstation sink for your prep sink. I would suggest moving it toward the right in the island so as not to crowd the seat on the side. Also, make your island deeper. The drain board is my favorite thing about mine. My island is 8’x4’4”.

ICF, why is it I couldn't use the back button to get off of your blog? That's a bit irritating. The 2 bin system you're considering is similar to the one we have (with a Knape & Vogt toe opener vs. foot). We had an interior drawer built to accommodate bin bags.

I like your design a lot, although I'd move the dishwasher and dish storage to the left-hand side of the sink. It would eliminate some path crossing when more than one person is in the kitchen. Say, one person is cooking or prepping and another is loading/unloading the dishwasher or setting the table. I looked for pictures of your layout and I'm not finding your exact layout, but truth be told, your layout is better than so many kitchens one finds pictures of on Google images. What are your island dimensions? It looks tight for three stools in the rendering, but in reality it may be just fine. Recommended inches per stool is 24" with a 15" overhang. My cooktop wall is similar to yours, so perhaps it can give you an idea of what that space would look like in real life. Your wall is longer than mine, so this is kind of a condensed version of what you have planned. I am envious of the dimensions of your kitchen! :)
