Old fashioned cabinets with colored knobs, painted & patterned floors, upscale bistro looking chairs, vintage tablecloth, cushioned seat & the play of colors. I love how the pattern on the pillows looks like apricots (even though its probable not). Dislikes: dishes on the wall! Additions: paint or retro floral wallpaper inside the cabinets, replace glass shelves with wood in cabinets. NEVER trust glass shelves, you never know when they'll break & then so will your nice dishes. Also glass shelves have a cheap modern look (office depot or staples office furniture) that people must have thought looked chic in the 80's.
Glass backsplash. Super glamourous for a chic kitchen with gold finishes.

Under cabinet as shown in picture or wall mount paper towel holder. It's nice to get as much off of the counters as possible. :)

Cabinets over window are "see through", let a lot of light in.
Outside hinges look outschool. I like it.

Little cute kitchen
Clean & cheerful with touches of bright "calming" colors cool green & cool blue. I like the tile on the kitchen wall, it looks "pillowy!" I don't know if its textured, it not it should be! Also, the tile looks great covering the entire wall & NOT just the bottom backsplash & stove area. The tile has a decent amount of pattern, but lacks many colors so it doesn't look "annoying/busy."

Built in breakfast table/pony wall divider is very unique.
I really like the unique "Craftsmen" looking island pillars. Its nice to be able to see through the botton. Like a tall table with hefty, chunky legs! Also adore the asian looking laterns. Unique lighting.
Contemperory/Retro look. Very clean, bright, airy & cheery! :)
The multi colored backsplash tiles are very happy looking. A few dark tiles here & there ground the wall or shall I say " bring depth & visually recede back from the bright colors. The small touches of dark tiles also tie in with the dark trim on appliances. I like the look of apron sinks & undermount sinks. The white throughout the kitchen looks as if it makes the kitchen feel clean & bright. Its fun to bring in color with bright quirkey accessories.
A hood that extends at least 1' past the sides of the stove for good ventilation coverage.
Close up of great tiles. It makes me think of fish scales.
Curved ceilings, with wood beams, exposed vents, geometrical patterened colored concrete tile floors & glass divider wall. Industrial chic, earthy & a touch masculine. I like the step up bar & the bottom of the shelf, however I don't like the open shelving. Loads of dust!
