Rooftop

I don't like this. I don't like how enclosed it feels. Part of the appeal of having the rooftop is to have a wider view. I don't want to feel enclosed, I want to feel "private".

Open deck, but the railing doesn't go to the outside edge, so there's still privacy. (I have no intention of creating a space like this, obviously, I just like the flat roof & railing.)

This is a cute stair-room. Lots of windows! I don't like the tall enclosed feel of the fencing.

Q

(obviously different flooring) This is nice, open so you can see the view, but still in the middle of the house so people from the street can't see up

I like the openness of the feeling of this roof (obviously different flooring). I can't quite see what's happening on the other side of the railing, if there's pitched roof or flat roof. I like how low the "railing" is.

Q

Oh! This one is nicer, the space between steps is really short, though?

Dan, this is a great perspective on what it's like at the top. And the dizzying effect.

Looking at this one again (I uploaded this a few months ago) I'm not fond of the tall wall "railing".

Q

Ok, there is a LOT about this that I like. BIG open windows. Rooftop deck, and I like how there's some angle to the roof as well. THIS is VERY INTERESTING 2830 NW 59th ST in Ballard

I hadn't thought of incorporating a greenroof to the rooftop deck idea, but this is interesting

Lovely railing!
