Limestone Floor Tiles

Q

harveysnaturalflooring.co.uk SaveEmail Limestone Floor Tiles - $15 Limestone is another calficerous stone and it's similar to travertine. Unlike travertine however, limestone's been hardened through time and tectonic action. That hardening makes it a better and more resilient material for use as flooring.

According to the designer, this is a painted poplar that they run to a lap and gap profile. The profile that they use allows us to blind nail the material so there are less nail holes to fill. I hope this helps! Luciane from ...

The space between the boards is 1/8" which allows for movement in the real wood and gives a distinct impression that the gap was intentional. We use the ship lap profile rather than the t&g profile as it provides more depth (1/2 of board thickness) for a deeper reveal from the face. With t&g (and typical material thickness of 3/4") the depth would only be approximately 1/4" as to the 3/8" for ship lap. Plus, the tongue on ship lap tends to be rounded and usually not more than 1/4"-5/16"
