You should check out the tile from Lightstreams Glass Tile, made locally in northern Ca. Design for pool construction. Their glass is incredibly pure and comes in many colors. I have done some Expert witness testimony on failed tile jobs, and i can tell you to stay away from 1x1 tile, a 2x2 tile has 4 times the surface connection to pool wall.
