shows a deck with wires. We recently did the same at our house, replacing the original cedar spindles. I can't say enough good things about this. Painting spindles was a horrible job and we no longer have to do this. Now, we see the view and not the spindles. In the winter, it's now easy to clear snow off the deck. I know a lot of folks put glass around their decks, but you have to clean this ... I can't imagine! So thanks for showing this picture. It's a great idea for decks

Material covering that perogola is berdac: close profile clear poly-carbon sheeting (to protect against the rain). Check to see how it stands up to Canadian winter and snow. And imagine that leaves and grime collect on top. Likely need to clean the top as it would show through to under neath.
Glass covering perogalo....tinted glass would give a bit of shade but still good light?....would it get too hot? The architects are in BC...so holds up to snow likely?

Would a retractable awning work for the shaded area...flat, angled down...what about on a downward "V" like our peak extension for a covered deck?
