island position would love to have kitchen, breakfast, living all one big room separated by almost nothing, just a super wide traditional opening, maybe transoms.

more than we need, but very nice like the idea of doing a butler's pantry/bar between the kitchen and living spaces (in line with a breakfast area that separates the two spaces), right about at the entrance to the back of the house from the entry, kind of placed like this one with counter, storage drawers and cupboards under and windowed upper cabinets...or two with just bar top and under cabinet (glass) or minifridge/wine cooler flanking a breakfast room.
tin ceiling above island is cute, like bar area/butler's pantry ALSO love the huge islands with the curvy legs at the corners to lighten them up so they don't look so blocky
