FLOATING Bed Capital Building Jul 2014 This bed simply has a thick MDF box built underneath the base of the bed (you can just see the end of it if you look closely in the picture). We ensured that the base would hold the bed on top and not overbalance, yet be as concealed as possible to create that floating feeling. At the same time the further that your eye sees under the edge of the bed the larger your room feels! We have done this on a number of beds and it has always been a great success!
