OLD island color

Q

Photo

OLD: the green we like for island only

Q

Photo

end seating on a long island - again no post.

Q

Photo

how do you feel about a warmer copper type hood?

Q

Photo

i know it may go out of style but i do like the brass pulls.

Q

Photo

a long island without posts

Q

Photo

If we have to use 2 heights of cabinets (to avoid removing windows or raising them in kitchen) it may still work to have higher then lower like a stairstep like this.

Q

Photo

a long island without posts. referencing this for the white cabinets + darker island too.

Q

Photo

a long island that's about our size without posts.

Q

Photo

seating around side with small cabinets. maybe island needs to be shorter to accommodate this concept - we will need some breakfast bar seating if we remove kitchen table.

Q

Photo

this end cap area is what we're trying to avoid. want seating on the end here.

Q

Photo

maybe an idea to put seating around end and then use drawers on other end.

Q

Photo

banquette and island with drawers on end

Q

Photo

Long island, no post

Q

Photo

end cap storage possible?

Q

Photo

One of KB's cabinet projects. crown molding seems too much? doors seem too traditional?

Q

Photo

charging station near back door?

i like the blue island here and the contrast of the back splash

Q

Photo

i like the floor here and some pops of black to make it feel more current

Q

Photo

i like this too- not scared of color! but maybe we do it only on the island.

Q

Photo

nice tucked away area for toaster and / or cutting boards

Q

charging station

Q

hidden charging station for end of island?

Q

charging station in a drawer

Q

End cap for island - but use it as a charging station

charging station for island end cap?

pass through. wonder if we could get the supporting wall down to 1 column that we mirror on the other side w/ another column. Ideally more modern looking than this though...

Q

Photo

pass through

Q

Photo

pass through

Q

Photo

pass through - looking from kitchen to dining

Q

Photo

pass through wall with light/see-through uppers between dining and kitchen. the nice part is that uppers are HIGH but still let light through. pass through allows pantry to be below (on kitchen side) and counter space for cooking.

Q

Photo

cut out to dining on other side?

Q

Photo

accent type wall above the new peninsula?

Q

Photo

cute way to put some stuff up against the wall that's decorative?

Q

Photo

peninsula

Q

Photo

kind of like the black and white too

Q

Photo

Still feel that a cut-out on the top would let more light through. Like this open "pass through" set of shelves for the wall, going through to the wet bar on the other side. Wine classes, nice vases, etc could be accessed from both sides.

Q

Photo

Wet bar/drinks fridge/clear cabinets and some shelves. No sink needed though.

Q

Photo

maybe the counter top comes out of the wall like this? and then wraps around to make another side to the seating? then we don't need the breakfast nook and we can build a bench/reading nook?

Q

Photo

peninsula coming off the wall?

Q

Photo

peninsula coming off a wall but using the backsplash?

Q

Photo

peninsula... ours would come out of the wall but maybe on the corner we could have some cabinets and drawers like this? (built into the un-moveable wall?)

Q

Photo

peninsula

Q

Photo

peninsula - not sure if this really is attached but it could be....

Q

Photo

our friend david's cabinets that are custom and full overlay. drawers plain on top.

Q

Photo

love how this is textured and more modern than the stone one we saw

Q

Photo

square small poles and square large poles. hate the color but like the white/wood risers

Q

Photo

I believe these are overlay cabinets and i like how they almost touch each other. I would think we want the plain drawers on top though.

Q

Photo

banquette area - maybe since our windows in back corner are high, we could build a bench (not a banquette) that's higher near window and then storage/drawers below for art supplies?

Q

Photo

Q

Photo

stone fireplace with simpler mantle. think i like the more modern fireplaces though (white textured) over this one now.

Q

Photo

modern grey fireplace

Q

Photo

plain drawers with shaker cabinets. are these Inset?

Q

Photo

stone fireplace with more updated media area on either side.

Q

Photo

light grey backsplash

Q

Photo

cuesta dining - they have retained the crown molding in hall but not in the room?

Q

Photo

cuesta - living looking to kitchen

Q

Photo

cuesta stairs - don't like the mediterranean look but like the dark/light riser contrast on steps

Q

Photo

cuesta kitchen

Q

Photo

cuesta island. hate the granite but showing the view to living

Q

Photo

cuesta - living

Q

Photo

Cuesta fireplace - have decided this may be too traditional

Q

Photo

love the blue and backsplash and light

Q

Photo

love the blue but now everyone is doing it
