Not sure how to describe how it works but a friend had a stack of outlets on top of her island that is hidden by a square of the granite that was cut. When not in use it is flat and just looks like a square piece of granite. When you want to plug something in you give the square a little push and a 4sided stack of outlets pops up. When I saw it I was so sorry I had not seen it to do myself.
