Thinking a marble accent strip like this green one in the bath.
Love the fixture and tub. I like the tile but I don't know if I would get tired of it.

Here's a fairly large shower that used subway tile but they have glass to open it up.
Thinking about doing the same kind of vertical band on the back shower wall in glass tile.
