This is a laminate unit. Have no drawers so vacuum and other vertical items fit. Maybe a shelf or two at top for cleaning products, iron etc.

A laminate closet can be 6 or more inches wider than fully framed walls with door. This should be considered. It would be closed and have adjustable shelves.
Probably the logical design.
