I think I'll get another barnwood frame from Hobby Lobby and hang my "...the More I like my Westie" plaque inside it like she did with that Home banner on my Westie wall.

Eames Molded Plastic Armchair with Rocker Base

I'm not a modernist by any standard, but something about this Eames rocker just looks fun to me. I'd use it as an unexpected note in the den.

I like how the wood still looks like wood, but much, much lighter. :)

I like the stone facade, the way the tv has its own built-in space, and the built-in shelving for the other electronics. Our fireplace is plain brick, has what looks like a plain board as a mantel, and no place for anything beside it. It needs help - it needs to look like this one!

I like the built-ins over the paneling. That would be useful in the den!

The house we just bought in NC has a fully paneled den, as well as a mostly-paneled basement. The basement will mostly be my husband's purview, and he likes the paneling, so I'm not going to worry about it down there. But I don't really want the darkness in the den. It seems to be a good quality paneling, so I think painting it rather than removing it is my best bet.
