Monica's apartment
“Chartreuse is a wonderful complement to gray. This happy yellow-green hue will keep your gray bedroom from falling into the doldrums.” “bedroom. The chartreuse wall and the print on the bed cover are balanced out by the cool gray fabrics and metal-edged wardrobe doors. The effect is sublime against the white backdrop of the floor, ceiling and walls.”

You can have a loose theme in arrangements -- like mid century objects (phone, camera's) -- to anchor your vignette
Use books as pedestals & things at different heights. Include one bright unusual object. Add plant/flowers if possible.
Shelf organization -- heavy objects below and get lighter/sparser as you go up

Lights for entryway? Plug in sconces?
Love her use of dark color here Ca #4 PLUS vignette in corner. Genius
Mantelpiece vignette Ca#3
Side table top nice too Ca #2
Like tabletop This is #1 of Chicago apartment (known as Ca in future notes)
Love the idea of using the chalkboard in the house
When beginning a room design people can often get caught up in trying to define their exact style: traditional, contemporary, cottage, transitional. This can prove to be limiting. An alternative approach to designing a space can be to start with favorite pieces already owned. Afterwards add in only items that are equally appreciated and enjoy the mix that ensues — which may be an extreme style mix. As these rooms will show, this approach can add up to beautiful. LOVE this vignette -- smaller scale in hallway?

chartreuse dining room?

For change of pace her turquoise chairs would look great. Also like grey wall
Nice wall color
Like the flower arrangement
Charming
I like this blue with the grey palette

This is closest to what I'm trying to do, but this room feels like there is too much furniture. Not enough free space for moving around.
I'm suggesting we have the circulation path hug the wall (30 to 36 inches needed). I like the idea of having a floating chair that doesn't match anything else. Don't want space to feel too match-matchy
Great idea for Monica's space
Love the vibe of this space -- clean lines, but feels like someone actually lives there

love the chartreuse wall
Hate the pattern and colors, but this is exactly the type of vignette I was planning for the window side of living room -- 2 wing chairs (in a ribbed aegean blue) with painted higher chest between them (fancy paint treatment -- diamonds?) with high silver lamp on cabinet.
I like the pops of color and the mixing of patterns
like use of traditional wing chairs in a modern apartment
simplicity of design. Less is more
Nice arrangement of objects
There may be some elegant way to store all of Monica's many accessories in the bedroom
New hardware, removing doors or painting the kitchen cabinets would be ideal -- but unlikely. Do need to check for microwave and see if it is possible to hang one over the stove.
urple, gray and white is a very modern and sophisticated color scheme — perfect for an urban loft. Make your design more interesting by mixing patterns and textures.
