Exterior Ideas

I love the first photo with the vertical wood/siding for an exterior of our new house. Also love the dormer windows in the roof. There are two photos of a house with the red roof. also love that "style" and could see that roofing on the house. Finally the last photo... the house that looks part barn. I could see THAT style being for the addition. It has the same vertical wood/siding that the 1st pic has. The house with the pool is similar to the back side of our house with room opening up. If I go with my first design of where to put the addition, this could literally be what the back of our house looked like where the addition is.

Neat to store the cushions in the seats

Q

Photo

Neat... like a path

Q

Photo

Kind of like these concrete steps with the wooden deck! Interesting wall as well

Q

Photo

Oh man LOVE LOVE LOVE this deck!!!! the shade roof, the fire pit the multi levels... all of it.

Q

Photo

This is a NEAT idea for the covered roof area for the puppies... being able to raise it up/lower it when wanted.

Q

Photo

Love this skinny walkway/deck

Q

Photo

Love this exterior door... and love the bench outside on the porch before it.

Q

Photo

Love the barn front door!

Q

Photo

love this

Q

Photo

Love this porch

Q

Photo

Interesting use of rebar!

Q

Photo

Interesting! This fence is vinyl coated aluminum mesh that basically disappears.

Q

Photo

LOVE this dog! Would have LOVED to have done something like this. I wonder if something could be found NEW to look old?

Q

Photo

This is an awesome outside area!

Q

Photo

Love this. With the pallet furniture

Q

Photo

This would be VERY cool for the outside puppy room!

Q

Photo

LOVE this porch and love how you get down to ground level! This may work for the deck off the school house on the North East side.

Q

Photo

LOVE how these windows in the kitchen work!!!! Might be even better than bifold!! DEFINITELY want to look into these!

Q

Photo

Love this "entry". What a cool way to "open up" a house and nice BIG pathway in.

Q

Photo

Interesting sand/concrete/limestone area, surrounded by low flagstone/fiedstone wall. Something like this might be AWESOME with the dogs... give them a surface to lay on (the tops of that low wall), give them a HARD area (track off the mud) to go through prior to coming in the house.

Q

Photo

Trellisses are nice on the porch rails

Q

Photo

for deck/front porch

Q

Photo

Love this door and like the corrugated steel wainscoting on the outside deck area!

Q

Photo

Love this porch. This was originally the BACK of this old farmhouse, similar to our situation.

Q

Photo

Interesting railings! looks like pallets!

Q

Photo

More great railing ideas

Q

Photo

Possible railing fencing for front porch of school house

Q

Photo

These are awesome railing for where you don't want to have railings!

Q

Photo

I like these railings for front porch school house

Q

Photo

This is neat. Might work for existing house front entry.

Q

Photo

Simple but something like this might work on the existing house new front entry.

Q

Photo

Love this! If our new hallway was outside, this is how I would do it!!

Q

Photo

Interesting idea to do where current porch roof is over garage service door

Q

Photo

Love this look/feel for the back deck!!! About perfect width/depth too... not as wide as main house deck.

Q

Photo

Porch railing/entry steps

Q

Photo

Lovely front door, porch, big window, wooden porch ceiling.

Q

Photo

Love this door and porch!

Q

Photo

I think window boxes would look great at the new front entry to the main house

Q

Photo

If we have to do additional fencing around the pool, this may be the way to go. Although cleaning it (from the dogs) would be a bit of a nightmare.

Q

Photo

Front porch

Photo

This is an awesome idea that we could easily accomplish with just a pull down screen and the projector!

Q

Photo

"End" of school house (lounge) overlooking pool

Q

Photo

Sitting area off to the left hand side could be like our "outdoor" hallway leading to the school house. Hmmmmmmm. Love the suspended fire place in that area as well.

Q

Photo

Love this... open yet has roof, glass wall, fireplace

Q

Photo

Like this for Training room entrance!

Q

Photo

LOVE the dutch door!! I might have to have one of these in the school house.

Q

Photo

There's that neat lattice-like roof that I like for on the back side of the house and the school house. Maybe tying this in with the entry would be good too!

Q

Photo

Interesting concept! Going IN with the entrance instead of OUT. If we have issues with where the septic is, this may be a good solution!

Q

Photo

Lovely! Width is an extra luxury supposedly that you won't regret.

Q

Photo

I like this front entrance.

Q

Photo

I like both the mix of vertical and horizontal wood siding as well as these high BIG windows.

Q

Photo
Photo

Simple and easy

Q

Photo

Cool! LOVE THESE PITS

Q

Photo

Neat sunscreen/roofing over porch, built in bench

Q

Photo

Love this "compound" look... of multiple buildings

Q

Photo

Love this as an entrance gate! Maybe to the school house area?

Q

Photo

Good idea!

Q

Photo

Wood siding INSIDE hallways/breezeways. Nice. I like the concept of the glass hallways giving the person the opportunity to experience the landscape as they travel through the house!

Q

Photo

breezeway and positioning of buildings

Q

Photo

Note roof heights!

Q

Photo

Breezeway becomes focal point... front door. This could work for school house.

Q

Photo

Ooooooooooo! love this glass wall and outdoor area!

Q

Photo

Maybe whatever porch goes on (new) front of main house, same porch goes on front of connected house?

Q

Photo

Interesting. Especially the front porch of the original house bridging the gap between the two buildings.

Q

Photo

I DO like this simple covered porch idea

Q

Photo

There we go! Put the pool between the two houses.

Q

Photo

Shed (lean-to) roof! That would fit in well.

Q

Photo

Neat! But engineering nightmare???

Q

Photo

training room?
