Like that there are more options for display on the wall built-ins (with lighting), and not solid books. I have some books, but not going to fill the walls with books. I don't think I would go any lighter than this with the wood finish, and this might be slightly too light.

Like the idea of a large statement desk that is more like a table than traditional desk (i.e., open below). This one is very interesting, but possibly slightly too ornate.
