Dave and Tracy's -- For Jim
Nice, clean style
Optional idea of having separate vanities rather than one long vanity. Style as shown is not to our tastes
Good for Dave's office ... built-in storage, desk space and murphy bed
Good light, lots of built-in drawers, rods at various heights, and full-length mirror
Our current kitchen/great room -- approx 17x34' We love all the storage, colorful backsplash, and ample lighting. We opted for counter-seating only, and that suits us fine.
Sofa faces the TV -- we don't like TVs over fireplaces.
We really like the gas cooktop in the counter rather than range. Provides good storage for pots and pans directly below, plenty of drawers to the side and cabinets adjacent to it.
Fireplace is seal-gas unit -- efficient and effective at warming up the space. Simple beam mantel and tiled column define the space but don't dominate
Island provides dining, storage, and space for a wall-mount oven
Pantry cabinets are a compromise -- storage is OK but accessibility is lacking ,,, a driving reason we want a small walk-in
Drawer or wall-mount microwave -- please no microwave over the cooktop.
Space is open allowing for viewing the TV from the kitchen.
Sliding door towards the back opens to a large covered patio
Tracy likes this bookcase
Open, airy, fairly simple lines, clean
We like how the house is connected to the outside -- some sheltered space, some open.
Nice garage space ... room for four cars, yet not a large structure.
Tracy likes the shelf above the cooktop for often-used ingredients
These next two photos appeal to us, but not necessarily the exact style. We like the openness, concrete floors are nice, and the outdoor space is like an extension of the indoor space
Nice alternative to the very rectangular space we currently have. Really like clerestory windows allowing for lots of light.
We like the counter seating arrangement with some stools facing each other
Maybe a bit grand for our budget, but we really like this workshop. This has a studio apt above but it could be simplified into a storage loft or eliminated altogether. We envision creating some individual art rooms within the space at some point... but starting out wide-open would be fine.
Nice walk-in pantry -- open shelves and cabinets below are fine/preferred. Upper shelves aren't very deep making easy to see and find items.
We like the openness, lots of drawer storage and again, zero threshold into the shower. Individual mirrors are nice, though we'd like storage behind the mirrors as well.
