Another one with cool asymmetry and a stone slate

I like the corner / wrap around hearth, but it may not work in my space

This idea could work, even though my fireplace insert is not that wide. However, an overhang / opening that's the full width of the wall with just the insert in the middle would be cool. The two subtle potlights in the ceiling are good, too

I like the asymmetry here, plus the overhang and the funky corner

I like the way there's a section of brick jutting out in this. I can't decide if the wooden shelf as the mantle is good or underwhelming

I like the way there's a layer of brick jutting out in this one, plus the overhang over the gas insert. It might be good to use one like this (maybe deeper) to hide the fact that my insert is shaped like a bay window, rather than flat-fronted
