I should mention that we have had the floor in place fo rmore than two years. They are wood floors and subject to wood floor issues. A heavy metal end table fell in teh living area and now there is a small dent....i.e. distressed look in one spot. We also have stairs into the basement and when the carpet install people came two weeks ago, I taped Ram Board over teh entire stariway. Necessary evil with nice wood stairs.
As for the installaion, we had one of the high end installers here is the Phoenix area do the work. I had to pay some extra coin to have the flooring evened out completely as we have a combination of slab and subflooring over the basement. Worth every penny.
The final answer to your question is "yes", they are holding up. BUT it needs to be treated like a wood floor. :)
