foyer

We may need to create a foyer entry. Possible turn stairs to the left (to open to family room) or turn stairs back on itself to go back (towards kitchen). There would be an open framed doorway to the left (dining) and to the right (family). Our ceilings are 8' and entry is much smaller than most of these pictures, but I clipped these to get some ideas.

about the same framing/size as our entry.

separations - kitchen is not as viewable. maybe an option.

stair nook is nice - although might have to pop closet out like this one. might eliminate some dead space though.

side openings, framings - this is similar to what our entry doorways to left and right might look lie.

We may not be able to raise the ceiling, but maybe we can create an illusion of a higher entry, like this one?
