The first step is to calculate the exact quantity of marble required for the flooring and skirting of your home.
Multiply the length of the room with its width to get the carpet area of the room. Follow the same process for the other open areas of the home where marble flooring needs to be installed. Add all these individual areas to find out the total square footage of marble required.
For example, if the length of the room is 12 feet and width of the room is 15 feet, then the carpet area of the room is 180 square feet.
For the marble skirting, calculate the running length of the wall that will require floor skirting. The height of skirting ranges between 4 and 6 inches. Multiply the running length of the walls by 6 inches (feet x 0.5 foot) to get the square footage of marble required for the skirting.
