i added this because the fully timber kitchen (plyboard?) works against the white ceiling. both of which i thought may be cheaper options we may need to resort to

The black contrast helps break up the overload of honey colour. . maybe there are ways you know of, Emily, that you could add lines or features that could do the same thing?
