Back painted glass splashes. A little squirt of glass cleaner and you are good to go! Had both for years with no scratches, even when behind the range top. I seriously considered back-painted glass. My local glass shops did not so this, but a company called DREAMWALLS in a near by city did. They use an ultra-clear low iron glass so that the normal green glass tint is not an issue. The can custom match any color. Thanks for illustrating different alternatives to subway tile!
We recommend having your contractor install two french doors on pivot hinges instead of bi-folds. That way when the doors are open they are flanking the opening (one on each side) and you won't have the need for a bi-fold track installed in the top of the door jamb. Thank you for the question and good luck with your project! dSPACE Studio's portfolio of work can been seen at www.dspacestudio.com
