Miscellaneous
great use of space for deeper cabinets
great use of space
pantry door, contrasting colour
pantry door?
possible double door for pantry
this might work
upper backs of doors in pantry. could be deeper if lighter foods like cereal boxes, pasta, crackers, and light items were here.
This could be helpful. Doesn't have to be beside the range.
how deep in this? if we did this in the pantry, then we would have to find other places for recycling and garbage
pantry example
use of cabinets and drawers in island
This might work, with shelves on back of door. Bottom with pull-out drawers for recycling and garbage. Pull out shelf in middle. pull out sections or shelves on upper.
Island drawers? Wouldn't be this deep?
pantry? only with wood, not wire. And garbage, recycling and brooms?
could this idea work in the upper portion of our pantry?
Would this work on one side of our corner? It would have just one cabinet door opening.
Pantry? Use of backs of doors. Could have counter depth narrow drawers for recycling, garbage, and higher pull outs for food.
Could this work in the pantry space? narrow pull out for brooms and cleaning supplies. wider pull out for recycling.
Counter depth to counter depth connection.
perhaps glass pans or casseroles would work in this arrangement?
Hmmmm, would this fit on the end of the cabinets that face the dining room? or somewhere else? maybe best dealt with a 'pull out'
A pull out might help in our pantry?
This could help us get more use out of our pantry. The loaded back of the doors, would use some of the wasted space between the doors and the counter depth drawers.
Have a look at the upper cubbies for possible objets. What about having these upper display places with out the glass or cabinet look, just open? Could be First Nations baskets; or some brighter objects, (cranberry glass?) ; wooden boxes or bowls, might go with First Nations, Japaneses large tea pot; Medalta crock?
look at the cabinets - recessed panel; a little trim between upper and lower cabinets
Herb garden on top of the fridge?
Should we get a range and oven in one unit.
Partial two level island with cabinets build in.
nice double sink. with interesting pad at the back for the faucet and soap.
Simple crown molding. I like this. Even smaller would be okay.
What about a ladder for high cabinets?
I don't think I like the crown molding.
An example of the pony wall.
Towel rack on the island.
This shows a 'pony wall' in a place similar to ours.
Great pantry. How deep? 24" ? it looks flush with fridge?
some drawer are 'fake' and they don't look too bad. The pull out on the left doesn't have recessed panel and it looks okay.
recessed panels are too fussy.
Some upper cabinets are counter depth and some are narrower. The flat look is achieved with the upper cabinets being flush.
cabinets under the island.
nice crown molding, or absence of crown molding
This could work nicely for us. We may need another bin, for all the recycling. (paper + plastic + other). Maybe these bins could be divided into two?
recessed cabinets - grey. I like the simple top, no crown molding.
Murray, what do you think?
