Would it be possible to do something like this on the kitchen facing side of the bench?

This for the window bench, except we’ll go all the way to the floor

The open space below the bench for shoes, and instead of cabinets up to just cubbies

Again, open space below and above bench instead of drawers/cabinets. Also the wood bench

Hybrid: Open space for shoes below, cabs up top. Also the transition to open space on the left of the bench could work for where our bench abuts open space

Instead of cubbies up top, just a shelf
