Comments (12)I think you are talking about a vanity to put in the bedroom, not the bathroom. Is that correct? If it is correct, then I think your idea of cherry wood for the vanity is a good one. It certainly doesn't have to match exactly. In fact, we mix a lot of wood stains these days. If you're interested in a vanity for the bathroom, that's a totally different thing. I see part of the bathroom in the photos. You could have a faux artist come and paint the existing bath vanity to match your bed if you want to go in that direction. But you state that you want a modern bathroom, so maybe you have something else in mind. I've selected 4 different baths that might appeal to you. Please let me know if you like any of them, or if it's the bedroom you're more interested in. Thanks. Carolyn Albert-Kincl, ASID...See MoreNeed help for the living room, Indian/Asian/Tribal artistic
Comments (501)Hi Ni, I just thought of something....did you say you planned to do the stencil motifs on the window wall? If so, I am thinking they will be mostly hidden by the curtains. I wonder if it might be better to stencil the long wall that is on the right side of the room when looking toward the window. I could see this being a pretty backdrop to the prayer box (I think that’s what you called it?) and your wood cuttings. Then maybe the opposite wall (the one with the kitchen doorway) could hold a large piece of art?...See MoreNeed help to decide the exterior of house
Comments (6)This is a most unusual and interesting structure. I would not have been sure it was a house from the picture. Pameladunson and I are in agreement that the strong visual difference between the rather utilitarian-looking "guard" at the roof and the more decorative fence/gate in front isn't visually pleasing. Both should be from the same architectural design family, although they need not be identical. The windows appear to have quite a bit of small architectural detail as best I can make out from the photo. The railing in front seems to have a scale that is better relative to those window details than does the "guard" at the roof, so I would probably opt for changing the roof "guard", not the railing in front. If do-able dollar-wise, It might be even better to remove both the roof "guard" and the railing/gate in front and design something new for these areas that is a good match with the most striking details elsewhere on the house....See MoreCurb appeal
Comments (3)Paint the shutters. I would not like to see those doors pInted grey. Something light, to draw your eye to the. Why do you think the next owners will not the house down? I think it is very nice looking....See Moretomatohair
