Hi Cynthia, thanks for your comment. I still haven't decided about lighting. First, I'm trying to get as much natural light as possible. If there are still some dark corners left, then I'm planing to use light on those areas.

The structure used to be a window which I broke down to make way to a balcony. In a few days the structure will be replaced with sliding glass doors. most colours would go with the light to neutral oak floor. A dark contrast wood panelled door would look great. someone here said that should be avoided. I feel a dark contrast,whether in wood, or a coloured paint would work very well. A painted panelled door (red, blue, green etc) with a wooden floor wood be a bold choice and will give the space a more European look.
