Want some suggestions about furniture rearrangement in my living room.
Comments (29)You have very high walls so I would do a tall wainscot on the walls to create some warmth and decoration at the same time. Take everything off the walls and remove all the small little shelfs and decorations, leave only the big furniture. Then start over with the wall decor. Need some bold statements to create some balance and interest but not clutter. Add some larger shelves if you need shelves, something hefty and interesting. It's hard to see wall color and how it works with the upholstery. Do you need all that furniture in the space? I would thin it out. Remove one of the sofas and place the chairs across from the other one. Open up the space in front of the window. Add a sofa table behind a sofa along the wall and decorate it with a couple large vintage style lamps with some accent color (pull a color from the rug that you like) on each end and tablescape the middle of the table. Add a huge mirror above Bring that same accent color into the space with some bookshelf decor but not cluttery. I am not a fan of the drapes; something more neutral in a grommet panel style that can easily be opened. Hang them at the ceiling. They will look really nice because they create nice gentle folds if the fabric is a bit heavy for weight. Comments (5)Vivek, With all due respects to family emotions attached to it , the door looks very heavy. You may want to lighten it with light shades of paint and by hiding few sections of it with HPL or wood. That reverse swastik on one side should better be corrected. Comments (3)Hi Harsh, The space looks wonderful and it has a very good length and height. First of all, if you are looking at modifying your the room, I will suggest to get rid of the cove ceiling and have a flat ceiling with trendy track lights. For a room of this length, I will prefer to do a dark color/texture as the backdrop of the bed with a short headboard. In perspective, the wall will look stunning. You can make a Jaali partition in middle( center of the room) and mount your TV on it with a nice small console underneath. Behind the Jaali you can mount a mirror with a dressing table. Just in front f the six feet window, you can keep two chairs with a small coffee table. Regards, deSigneR - Architects and Interior designers....See MoreNeed suggestions for lobby with some storage
Comments (4)HU, You can go for a base cabinet end to end. With long wall cabinets having mirror shutters. And if the required even a loft for functional purpose. Thanks, Nitin CORNERSTONE DESIGNS Bangalore...See Moreelisejames
