Hi. I don't think either are trending. I believe it's more a matter of taste and lifestyle. Glass tops are a bit more high maintenance as you see smudges much more easily.

Hi, Obviously folding is space saving which works well in two situations, when you have a small space and when you don't have much guests at house. I think if designed well and customized than than folding can be as comfortable as the conventional.

Vinotha, iIts a personal preference. If your family is used to.a circular one go for it. I find eating on a rectangular one more comfortable gives me elbow space.
