Pradeep, plywood or Gypsum has little do with heat reduction . It is the air layer between the actual ceiling and the false ceiling that does bring the temperature down. Thank you for the inputs. My main concern is the damage caused by water leakages which would show up few years after possession. What kind of false ceiling would be immune to it and is there any preventive measure can be taken up before false ceiling work starts?

Basically vox is used for outdoor area and gypsum is used for interior so depends where uh want to apply😀
