Comments (15)Hi, softyjane. You have a very pretty sheet set, and seem to like pink, so let's begin with a fresh coat of pink on all four walls. If someone can build you a little shelf to sit in the window, you could paint a basket, too, and put all your small items in it. Your food tray would make a nice picture background in the window. Then, some hooks on the right wall to hang your bags from will make things a bit roomier. White trim at the window will make it seem bigger, as well. If someone can do carpentry work for you, then you can create even more space by raising your bed high and making a loft bed with it. then you will have room below to put whatever you like - a chair, a desk, shelves - and place a curtain or bead strands in front for privacy. This is just to give some inspiration - yours will look special to your likes: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/5lDtTj0CQlo/0.jpg Hope that helps, and that you get the bedroom of your dreams!...See MoreNeed help for small master bedroom with light wood flooring.
Comments (4)I'd suggest you have a look through the photos section on Houzz - or there's quite a few good articles on how to decorate :) maybe both you & your wife could save pictures to an ideabook with a few words on what it is you like about each one, and it'll give you more of an idea of what type of things you like? I think colour-wise, turquoise and peach can go together really well - maybe a warm cream colour on the walls & pops of turquoise and peach in the form of throw cushions etc.? Again, just searching on Houzz can give you some great ideas - just literally searching 'turquoise and peach' brings up quite a lot of pictures :) to get you started I've just picked out a few which I personally think work well :)...See MoreNeed help with Master bedroom
Comments (7)Hello Anamika. I would still suggest to not change the existing plan for practicality reasons. The only change that I want to suggest is to have that unit (besides the bathroom door, is that a dresser or workstation?) to move it adjacent to the TV unit (towards the entry door). However, if you do not like the existing pattern and want to change it - you could move the wardrobes to the North wall and place the bed on the West wall as suggested earlier and to address your concern of the narrow look, do one of the below: We could do a better space planning by doing some offbeat designing. If you need a workstation, you could make use of the headboard to double up as a desk (sample pic below) - meaning your bed along with the headboard would be moved towards East by about 3 feet. If you are one who wishes to have a space for your books, you could use the West wall to have a mini library too. If you elevate the work desk and library space by a single step, it would stand out and will give a special look to your bedroom. Another option is to have two single seaters with a round center table in between. You could also have a bedroom bench which can store your knickknacks. Sample pic shown below.
