Comments (31)Dear Crazyjunglite, please let me add some ideas for your space. I beleive that a nice combination of two curtains like the one with the blue and peach double curtains in the picture, will give you an eclectic feeling that matches to your painting. The combination of colors that I suggest is this blue with brown flares and the cream-peach taffetas, and the soft cream sheer behind. It will join all the rest beautiful items suggested by now: https://www.etsy.com/listing/163787105/blue-curtain-polyester-fabric-122-inches?ref=shop_home_active https://www.etsy.com/listing/163785041/light-yellow-beige-curtain-polyester?ref=related-6 https://www.etsy.com/listing/167660815/35-discount-for-one-pair-of-two-beige?ref=listing-shop-header-1 https://www.etsy.com/listing/167363693/ecru-sheer-curtains-fabric-118-inches?ref=shop_home_active...See MoreWhat do you all think about this living room design?
Comments (14)I like the ceiling. I think the hanging lights are too fancy and distract from the ceiling decor. A simpler light would look better or sticking with the canned lights you have. The walls have too many big, black things on them. It's hard to tell if they are windows with shade --- in which case I'd pick something lighter, perhaps to echo the ceiling, TVs (how many do you need?) or what. I'd consider a big piece of statement art in the place of at least one. If you're on a budget, get a large, high quality photo in the right colors, you can take it yourself. Sepia and black architectural might work. I like more color and more natural light. You may have closed the shades for a better picture, so it's hard to comment on the light, plus windows are a feature of your room, not exactly a decorator's choice. I would consider how to get a few small pops of color in, pillows, flowers, candles, maybe even a runner rug along the right wall. If you are doing this as part of a portfolio, the entire ensemble would look more welcoming with a few touches like someone lives there. Something on the coffee table, for example. A few books and a candle. A tray with tea things, a vase of flowers or basket of fruit. Pick one or two things and make it composed. You see this a lot in designer Houzz photos. Here's an example, you note this picture would be a lot more stark with an empty table: https://www.houzz.com/photos/21-house-contemporary-living-room-san-francisco-phvw-vp~60642...See MoreWhat Caught Your Eye- in this divine puja room?
Comments (11)The welcoming bronze Idol with flower garland in the hands is a cute idea. And the walkway to reach Radha Krishna in the Brindhavan wading through a stream of water & pebbles is a uniquely brilliant idea which simply stands apart from the herd thinking. The designer has actually mimicked a mini version of Brindavanam. And a center hanging bell is awesome. Hats off to his creative thinking....See MoreBedroom Styling Ideas
Comments (9)Hi Manaswini, First decide if you want the bedroom to be bright and airy or dramatically dark as this will influence the type of monochromatic look you are going for. If you veer towards the former then keep a majority of your bedding white or light grey while the adding a hint of darkness through a few small cushions. On the flip side, if you want a dark and cosy bedroom, then opt for a plain dark bedding that contrasts with the duvet. We suggest opting for a dark grey/brown rather than a going for completely black sheets as this adds visual interest. You can bring in pops of colour through the elements of decor such as a large piece of artwork above the bed, a rug under the bed or a lamp on the side table. Even a simple flower vase on the side table can help you add colour. If you'd like to discuss this further, reach out to us.
