So much can happen on an exterior...trim, exposed rafters, doors, windows, siding, stone, brick, stucco, roofing, gutters and downspouts....hire an architect or a design/build firm to help answer these questions prior to building....like hiring an interior designer for help with furniture, these professionals will help decide the style of the exterior of the house and how that style interacts with the function of the house.

Something like this with vertical and horizontal sidings mixed if you do not want the stucco to be honest I never like brick and stone mixed and certainly not in a minimilistic exterior

Farooq, First one is a glass finish Subway tile. It looks good but many people back out due to budget issues as it is relatively costlier. Second image is of a brick cladding wall paper. However, similar looking ceramic tiles, mud tiles are also available locally. IMHO, red brick sand tile gives a more natural effect.What suits better would depend on the overall design of the house. There are lot of options for exterior elevation materials for the building. You can go for Textured plaster, Exposed brick cladding, Exposed RCC plaster, Different types of natural or artificial stone cladding, Shera board cladding, wooden exterior type tile cladding, etc. All these materials can be combined with normal exterior type plaster. Depending on your budget and taste you can choose your material, the look, and the feel of your building experior.
