Help Required - Modular Kitchen Advice

Friends.. I'm building a new home and need modular kitchen ideas. Fundamentally I'm not sure where to start. All I know is I need one. :). Can you help.

Points to consider

1. My house is being built with a traditional look but with a modern feel

2. It is all Rammed Earth with soil taken from my own place.

3. I'm quite interested in cost effective designs that will reflect a traditional feel in it while accommodating modern practicalities.

4. This is an open kitchen (Hall, Dining and Kitchen). The partition of Dining and Kitchen is about 15 ft wide X 21ft.

So you want to construct the kitchen along the two 7' length walls facing each other and along the 9' wall that joins them? It can be done if the space is used practically. But first please share your floor plan to show the position of the doors and windows too. Only then can once figure out how best to utilise the space

Hello Saj shk, Always avoid using high gloss as oil stains are more prominently seen in such surface. Your grey laminate is too dull and shabby to be used in an area where you need more lively effect. Try to go for different combination. Now a days acrylic sheets are available with great finish and good colours and it is 90degree bendable so joints are smooth and finished. Design the o.h. cabinets in such a way that you utilise total height of the kitchen and Use profiles for the same.

So from what I was told, the toe kick is not meant to be flush with the cabinets for ergonomic reasons. So having a fixed kick/moulding would present the same questions that I have above. The small hairline gap will attract grime, hairballs, dust bunnies etc over the days, months and years. Can’t be sanitary for the kitchen in the long run, yea?
