Instead of having fix skirting you can ask removable skirting. whenever you wanted to clean these area you can easily remove & fix. in that case you need not need to pull-out the trolley for clean these area.

You can build up the molding at the base of the cabinets covering toe-kicks.

Toe-kicks are of usually 9-10cm height covering with molding is best option as cleaning underneath is hardly possible rat dents, spills, lizard any nests could also form its better to cover with molds.

So from what I was told, the toe kick is not meant to be flush with the cabinets for ergonomic reasons. So having a fixed kick/moulding would present the same questions that I have above. The small hairline gap will attract grime, hairballs, dust bunnies etc over the days, months and years. Can’t be sanitary for the kitchen in the long run, yea?
